League Two side Yeovil have agreed to sign defender Omar Sowunmi from Ipswich when his contract expires on 1 July.

The 19-year-old, who failed to make a senior appearance for the Championship Tractor Boys, has signed a one-year deal with the Glovers.

"Omar stood out for me in the trial match we held at Huish Park," manager Paul Sturrock told the club's website.

"I feel he will have a very successful career and I am excited about him signing for Yeovil Town."

Sowunmi, who had loan spells with Braintree Town and Lowestoft during his time at Ipswich, is Yeovil's seventh signing in eight days.
