Winger Marvin Johnson has agreed a contract extension with Motherwell until 2018.

Johnson, 24, joined from English Conference side Kidderminster Harriers in January and has since made 12 appearances, scoring once.

"I really believe in the manager and what he wants the team to do," he told the Motherwell website.

Meanwhile, Wrexham striker Louis Moult has been given permission to speak to the Fir Park club.

Moult, 23, scored 16 goals last season for the Conference Premier side, having joined the Welsh team from Nuneaton.

Johnson played a pivotal role in Motherwell retaining their top-flight status, scoring his first goal for Ian Baraclough's men in the second leg of the 6-1 aggregate play-off final win over Rangers.

His new deal follows on from the signing of strikers David Clarkson and Wes Fletcher, with the club also hopeful of retaining Scott MacDonald.
