Europa League: Glentoran's Allen and Scullion miss first leg
Glentoran will go into their Europa League match at home to MSK Zilina on Thursday without key attacking players Curtis Allen and David Scullion.
Top striker Allen and Irish Cup final goal hero Scullion are away on holiday while midfielder Niall Henderson is not available because of injury.
"Willie Garrett and Stephen McAlorum are just back from holiday. It is not ideal," said manager Eddie Patterson.
Linfield and and Glenavon are also in Europa League action on Thursday.
Irish Premiership runners-up Linfield face opponents from the Faroe Islands for a fourth successive season, with NSI Runavik the visitors to Windsor Park.
Glenavon, who finished third last season, are at home to Shakhtyor Soligorsk from Belarus.
Glentoran's opponents Zilina finished second in the Slovakian League which ended on 30 May.
"They have not had much of a break, so their match fitness will be better than ours," added Patterson.
"It is going to be extremely difficult for us against a young and fit team.
"They are the highest rated of the teams drawn against Northern Ireland clubs and not that long ago were playing Chelsea in the Champions League, losing only 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
"But we worked hard to get into this position. We want to enjoy it and we want to do well."
Runavik, who face Linfield, are currently second in the Faroe Islands league and have won just one game in nine seasons of European competition.
Linfield have had two friendly matches in preparation, losing 2-1 to St Johnstone and beating PSNI 6-0.
Glenavon's opponents in the first qualifying round, Shakhtyor Soligorsk, beat Derry City 6-1 on aggregate in the Europa League last season.
