BBC Sport - Women's World Cup: 'England's success will help girls game'

'World Cup run will help grassroots'

BBC East Midlands Today visit Leicestershire club Oadby and Wigston to gauge how the England's run to the semi-finals of the Women's World Cup can help further boost the grassroots game.

The club was founded in 1997 with four girls but now has more than 200 on its books across 12 teams.

Oadby and Wigston player Megan Cox said the Lionesses in Canada had been an inspiration.

"I watch them and and think, 'I want be like them one day'," she said.
