Aberdeen defender Mark Reynolds will miss up to three months of action with a shoulder injury.

The 28-year-old landed awkwardly after a collision during last week's Europa League qualifier against Shkendija in Macedonia.

"Mark will be getting an operation on Friday and will be out for 10 to 12 weeks," said manager Derek McInnes.

"Mark's disappointment is someone else's opportunity and we've plenty cover in that area."

Paul Quinn replaced Reynolds in the latter stages of the 1-1 draw in Skopje and will be favourite to partner Ash Taylor in Thursday's return leg at Pittodrie.

Andrew Considine, used mainly at left-back in recent seasons, can also operate in central defence.
