Arsenal Ladies quartet Alex Scott, Casey Stoney, Emma Byrne and Emma Mitchell have all signed new contracts with the Women's Super League club.

England right-back Scott, 30, is in her third spell with Arsenal, after playing for Birmingham and Boston Breakers.

Fellow-Lionesses defender Stoney, 33, also began her career with the Gunners.

Ireland stopper Byrne, 36, has been at Arsenal for 13 seasons, while Scotland defender Mitchell, 23, has been a regular starter since arriving in 2013.

"They are all key players for our team and we are delighted they have decided to commit their futures to the club," first-team boss Pedro Martinez Losa told the club website.

"They bring fantastic experience and a winning mentality to the squad and it is important for us to keep players of their quality."

Arsenal currently lie fourth in WSL 1, five points behind leaders Chelsea, with three matches remaining this season.
