Plymouth Argyle boss wants FA probe into Portsmouth comments

Plymouth Argyle manager Derek Adams has called on the Football Association to investigate Portsmouth boss Paul Cook.

It comes after comments Cook made suggesting he would be interested in signing Argyle's leading scorer Reuben Reid before the transfer window closes.

"I don't think other managers should be talking about other players," Adams said after Saturday's win over Newport.

"The FA will have to look at that because you shouldn't really be mentioning other players in the media."

Reid has scored 44 goals since first joining Argyle on loan from Yeovil in January 2013 and is out of contract next summer.

He missed the win over Newport but Adams says his absence was due to injury, not because he is unsettled.

"He was injured last week against Northampton. People can put two and two together and the thick people will get five," added Adams.
