Ismail Yakubu: Woking defender suffers knee ligament damage
Woking defender Ismail Yakubu will be out for 12 months after suffering a serious knee injury.
Scans show the 30-year-old centre-back damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Boreham Wood.
The former Newport County man, who joined the Cards this summer, is the second player at the club to suffer knee ligament damage this season.
Striker Scott Rendell sustained a similar injury last month and fans raised £10,000 to fund his treatment.
Meanwhile the National League side have brought in Charlton Athletic defender Terell Thomas on a youth loan and extended the loan deal of Colchester striker Dan Holman until 2 January.
