The Football Association is investigating after pitch invasions allegedly involving Carlisle fans during their League Two victory at Hartlepool United on 29 August.

The Cumbrians took 887 supporters to the game at Victoria Park, which Keith Curle's side won 3-2.

Carlisle have been invoiced £2,376 by Pools for damage to the away seats.

"We take this type of incident very seriously," Carlisle media officer Andy Hall told the club website.

A statement added: "We would like to take this opportunity to remind supporters that contravention of ground regulations, which includes unauthorised entry to the field of play, constitutes a criminal offence.

"Any individual found to be in breach of these regulations will be dealt with by the relevant authorities."
