Portsmouth striker Conor Chaplin has signed a new three-year contract with the League Two club.

The deal will keep the 18-year-old at Fratton Park until the summer of 2018.

Chaplin, an academy graduate, has already scored four goals this season, including in the League Cup against Championship sides Derby and Reading.

"I'm delighted to have extended my contract. It's probably the best thing that has happened to me," Chaplin told the club's website.

Chaplin made his senior debut in a home defeat by Accrington in December and has played 18 games for the club.

He scored twice against Barnet in Pompey's 3-1 home win earlier this month.
