Coleraine

Coleraine moved to within six points of leaders Linfield with this home victory over basement side Warrenpoint.

The visitors failed to capitalise on early pressure and an audacious lob from Darren McCauley gave Coleraine the lead against the run of play.

James McLaughlin added the second just before the break, meeting Beacom's loss cross and stabbing in from close range.

Bannsiders keeper Michael Doherty denied Warrenpoint three times in the second half.

What they said

Warrenpoint boss Barry Gray: "We're frustrated but I said to the players if they keep gifting goals do you really deserve anything.

"The harsh truth is no - we gifted two goals at crucial times and it has cost us."

Coleraine manager Oran Kearney: "Our performance was not close to what we expect but we managed the game.

"Doherty has pulled off three or so saves, we kept a clean sheet and we've come away with the points."
