Glens steal points with injury time winner

A goal from substitute Jim O'Hanlon four minutes into added time at Milltown gave Glentoran a dramatic late win and delivered a crushing blow to basement club Warrenpoint Town.

O'Hanlon bundled the ball in from a Jonathan Smith corner to earn three points for the managerless Glens.

Curtis Allen had a first-half effort ruled out for offside while David Scullion scuffed an effort.

Dermot McVeigh and Stephen Hughes squandered chances for the home side.

McVeigh was off-target with a header when he should have scored, while Hughes forced Elliott Morris into a fine save.

The Glens had a strong appeal for a penalty waved away by referee Raymond Crangle when goalkeeper Aaron Shanahan challenged Scullion inside the area.

The result sees the East Belfast move above Portadown into sixth place in the table, with Warrenpoint four points adrift at the bottom after a seventh consecutive league defeat.
