Bury striker Hallam Hope will remain on loan to Carlisle United until 9 January following an initial month-long spell at Brunton Park.

The former Everton forward has played three games for the Cumbrians, and scored in their 2-0 FA Cup win at Plymouth earlier this month.

Hope, 21, joined his parent club on a permanent basis in November 2014 and has since made 32 appearances.

"Hallam is a player who has qualities we like," boss Keith Curle said.

"He's been left out as a precaution recently, because of the rehab work he's doing on his ankle injury, but he shouldn't be too far away from a return," he told the club website.
