Emiliano Martinez: Wolves goalkeeper out until January

Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett says on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is "some weeks" from being fit, meaning he is unlikely to play again in 2015.

Martinez, 23, is at Molineux on a season-long stay from the Gunners and has not played since 7 November because of a thigh injury.

"He still looks some weeks off being fit enough to play," said Jackett.

"It might be around January time with Emi, that's a fair estimate."

Martinez suffered the injury in Wolves' 0-0 draw at home to Burnley and has sat out the last three games, with Carl Ikeme taking his place.

"Emi is out training and doing everything in terms of handling the ball," Jackett added. "The kicking muscle is going to take a while to heal and he'll need to get to 100% before we want to risk him.

"Our medical people are very reluctant to put a time on it with me, personally, but I understand why because they're trying to take it a stage at a time."
