Barnsley have decided not to offer a contract extension to former Norwich and Coventry striker Simeon Jackson.

The Canada international, 28, joined the League One club on a short-term deal in September, but has only made two starts since then.

Boss Lee Johnson confirmed they would also not be taking up options to buy Conor Wilkinson and Michael Smith.

The two strikers, on loan until 4 January, will return to parent clubs Bolton and Swindon.

Both players made 12 appearances for Barnsley, most of them as a substitute, with Wilkinson scoring once.

Meanwhile, Johnson hopes to agree a new deal with former Doncaster full-back Reece Wabara, 24, whose deal with the club expires on New Year's Eve.
