Liverpool too good for Man Utd

Liverpool produced a high-energy home display to take a 2-0 lead into the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie with Manchester United.

Daniel Sturridge opened the scoring from the penalty spot, after Memphis Depay had brought down Nathaniel Clyne.

Roberto Firmino doubled the lead following Michael Carrick's poor defensive clearance.

David de Gea made several good saves as Liverpool dominated, with the away side managing just one shot on target.
