George Francomb: AFC Wimbledon midfielder close to return to full training
AFC Wimbledon expect George Francomb will soon to be able to return to full training following a knee injury.
The 24-year-old midfielder recently had surgery and missed his team's play-off final triumph at Wembley, where their victory over Plymouth clinched promotion to League One.
He has resumed light training and is close to joining the rest of the squad.
"We are taking a bit of time with him, but he will be up and running soon," boss Neal Ardley told the club website.
"George came in a week early to try and get in a little bit of fitness as he has been out for a while.
"We are just waiting for the all-clear for the physio so that he can join in with the rest of the squad."
Francomb made 42 appearances for the Dons last season, scoring three goals.
