Chester 1-3 Maidstone United

Newly-promoted Maidstone claimed their first win in the Vanarama National League at Chester's expense, with a 3-1 triumph.

Anthony Acheampong made the hosts pay for wasting early chances by heading home his first goal for Maidstone in the 20th minute.

Chester responded well, with James Alabi firing in his second goal in as many games to equalise in the 31st minute after good work from Kane Richards.

Alabi went close again minutes later, but Ben Greenhalgh changed the momentum of the match with a bundled effort to make it 2-1 after 57 minutes and Alex Flisher completed the scoring in the 64th minute.

Chester's afternoon was summed up by goalscorer Alabi seeing red in the 78th minute for a challenge on Maidstone goalkeeper Lee Worgan.
