Torquay United have not received any money as part of the transfer of former player Eunan O'Kane to Leeds from AFC Bournemouth, despite having a sell-on clause of 15% in his contract.

O'Kane, 26, moved to Leeds for an undisclosed fee last month.

He joined Bournemouth from the Gulls for £175,000 in 2012.

"Torquay United will not receive any monies at this present time due to the arrangement made between the two clubs," a Torquay statement said.

"There is the possibility that the club will benefit from future payments.

"We apologise to all of our supporters that we are unable to divulge any further information as a result of the legally binding contract between AFC Bournemouth and Leeds United."

Last week, Gulls boss Kevin Nicholson said any cash the club did raise form the transfer would not be invested in the playing squad.
