John Sheridan: Notts County manager John Sheridan would have booed too
Notts County manager John Sheridan says he could have booed with the supporters as his side were beaten by Accrington.
The Magpies were jeered off the pitch by their own supporters as their four-match unbeaten came to an end with Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Meadow Lane.
"I understand the supporters as the performance didn't merit appreciation," Sheridan told BBC Radio Nottingham.
"I wasn't happy watching it. I could've booed. But I have to stay strong and I will keep faith in my players."
Notts are now 17th in League Two with eight points from their first seven matches.
"I am very disappointed with the way we have gone about the game," continued Sheridan, who took over in the summer.
"Sometimes it is hard to understand when you give a performance like that. I just think we were not at the races."
