Carl Tremarco has joined Alex Fisher is signing a contract extension with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Striker Fisher, who signed from Torquay United in January, finalised a deal until the end of the season last week.

Tremarco's new contract is for at least one season beyond next summer as the player has the option of extending it for another year beyond that.

The 31-year-old English defender is the Scottish Premiership club's joint top goalscorer this season.

Tremarco, who had spells with Tranmere Rovers, Wrexham, Darlington and Floriana, joined Caley Thistle in 2013 after leaving Macclesfield Town.

His new deal comes three days after scoring his fifth goal of the season - in a 2-1 defeat by Dundee - four more than striker Fisher.

Fisher signed from Torquay United in January on a six-month contract, but his season was cut short by injury and he was handed another short-term deal in the summer.

The 26-year-old Englishman began his career with Oxford United and had spells with Jerez Industrial, Tienen, Mechelen, Heist, Monza and Mansfield Town before joining Torquay.
