Friendlies 'do mean something' - O'Neill

Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill says that friendly matches "do mean something" after his side went down 1-0 to Iceland at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Republic boss concedes however that the match in Dublin did involve "a change of mindset" coming just four days after the World Cup qualifying 0-0 draw with Wales on Friday night, which saw Seamus Coleman sustain a double break of his right leg.

Despite making several changes for and substitutions during Tuesday's game, O'Neill observed that "some players came out with decent credit".
