Linfield comeback win secures league title

Andrew Waterworth scores a hat-trick as Linfield come from one goal down to beat Cliftonville 3-1 at Solitude and clinch a first Premiership title since 2012.

Daniel Hughes gave the home side the lead, but Waterworth found the net three times in the second half, one of those goals coming from the penalty spot.

The league triumph was the 52nd in Linfield's history and a first under current Blues manager David Healy.

Having already lifted the County Antrim Shield earlier in the season, Linfield will aim for a league and cup double when they face Coleraine in the showpiece Irish Cup decider at Windsor Park on Saturday 6 May.
