Coleraine full-back Mark Edgar has moved to Carrick Rangers after a year and half at the Bannsiders.

The former Blackburn Rovers trainee made 13 appearances during his time with the Stripes.

However, the form of Rodney Brown and Adam Mullan meant the former Northern Ireland youth international failed to claim a regular starting berth.

"The move has definitely arrived at the right time for Mark," said Coleraine boss Oran Kearney.

"Playing regular football in the Irish League will further his development. It was an ideal move for all parties concerned.

"I wish Mark all the best during his time with Carrick."
