Walker£45 MillionFor a Headless Chicken, could have paid £2.89 For a Tesco Value One. Or an Asda Smart Choice.Walker is Rubbish, so Spurs this is a blessing in disguise.R.I.P Sense died 2017
& the west ham board having a free stadium .....said to. Man city ....aghhn have a heart....So the oil rich arabs said OK !!!!!!!Have our goalie hart ..on loan !!!!I guess west ham hammered out another freebie !..!!I expect the city of London will mug their citizens for the miserly % city expect .....as its only money !You see we are so much richer than you are !
On the evidence of the last couple of seasons Walker is leaving a better team but at the same time the lad will not be easy to replace
The level of bitterness, even though they regard Walker as a bit part player is astounding. The introduction of Nolito into the mix is just bewildering but like Spurs we have ready made replacement players for his position as goal scorer in Aguero and Jesus so we should be alright.
What a brilliant piece of business ... for Daniel Levy. Even as a Gooner I can appreciate his world class negotiation skills - he could do a job for us on Brexit. On Kyle Walker himself, he's a decent right back and he's improved over the years but there's NO WAY he's a £50m player!
As an aside, Nolito really set the world alight at Man City didn't he? Not.
congratulations Kyle Walker on getting your pay rise
@463 - Kelechi Iheanacho and Aleix Garcia both played a squad role last year; Brahim Diaz, Tosin Adarabioyo and Jadon Sancho are all now training with the first team too. There are some decent players in the academy too. It takes time to develop them though, and we needed a RB (or two) now.
@Naz - I'm sure fans of Southampton would debunk your theory.
Media reports.on walker.Fee 45 mill + addsFee 50 mill + addsFee 55 mill ??Fazio purchase 8 millSold whilst doing well .....3 & 1/2 mill ??!!Loan cost ...wage supplement ??Clear loss ...but minimum info given ????Look as if doing business in Europe is a nonsense & now frogs want two spurs rejects on the cheap, who may cost less than half what we paid + the wage contribution !!!
@Coldblowlane I know the transfer mkt has gone mad but what do you do? City don't have a right back and Walker is the best right back in the league. Your point about the academy is so wrong. The gap between academy and first team is massive. Takes too long for players to adapt. See kane - took ages for him to click.
45 million for a full-back ? It sure is crazy times we are living through my friends. The irony is that the man (younger man I may add) who will replace Walker at Spurs is a former Manchester City player. If they had spent a little time and effort on developing players they could have saved themselves £45 million.
Top right back for sure but still not very clever always would have a brain lapse moment
@457 I agree Walker has pace but in DEFENCE he is poor and prone to giving away fouls unnecessarily.Tottenham have done well to get the money and Trippier showed towards the end of the season what a fine player he is.Maybe Walker thought a move would ensure a first team place, not guaranteed at Man City, however doubling his pay might have had something to do with it!
This signing proves what a waste of time MC youth team and coaching staff is. No point training players if at the same time buy them. MC need to learn how to become a big club.
Yet another TWOTAM.Hasn't soccer yet realised what a joke it is and that it just looks stupid to normal sane people. Then again there is no actual law against being terminally stupid.
BBC are quick to print Gary (tax dodger) Lineker's tweet about an overpriced no mark of a player, but fail to allow my comment about Joe public possibly benefiting from him paying his fair share of income tax. On the other hand, they've seen fit to allow this post in the interest of fair and unbiased reporting that we all know the BBC is capable of. CTID
