Sutton United 1-3 Tranmere Rovers

Tranmere continued their push towards the National League play-off places with victory at high-flying Sutton.

Rovers had won their previous two league games by a combined 7-0 scoreline and were victorious again on Saturday against a Sutton side that started the day in second.

Adam Buxton gave the visitors a 10th-minute lead at Gander Green Lane with a 20-yard free-kick but Sutton, looking to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat by lowly Leyton Orient, levelled soon after through Kenny Davis' close-range header.

Tranmere were back in front before the break though, with Connor Jennings smashing a shot in off the post, and the visitors wrapped up the points when Andy Cook slotted home in stoppage time.
