Massa's struggle for speed
- From the section Formula 1
Fernando Alonso says Ferrari have "full trust" in Felipe Massa despite speculation the Maranello-based outfit are thinking of dropping his Brazilian team-mate following an unimpressive start to 2012 at the Australian Grand Prix.
Double world champion Alonso finished fifth in Melbourne whilst Massa retired following a collision with Bruno Senna's Williams, but the Spaniard believes Massa's performance was a "one-off" despite his patchy form since recovering from a heavy accident during qualifying for the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix.
Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali also urges his team to "stay close" to a "psychologically fragile" Massa in order to allow him to allow the 11-time Grand Prix winner to "express his talent".
