Bahrain petrol bomb 'unfortunate' - race chief
- From the section Formula 1
Bahrain International Circuit chairman Zayed R Alzayani says it's "unfortunate" that Force India mechanics were caught up in a petrol bomb incident but says they were not targeted and it is possible to get "caught up in a riot or a fight anywhere in the world."
Alzayani told BBC Sport's Dan Roan that "it's absolutely the right decision" for the race to go ahead and says that protests in Bahrain "are not because of F1 and do not have anything to do with F1".
However he acknowledges there "probably will be" further violence and protests over the course of the weekend but insists they "will not be within the track, or close to the track".
