BBC Sport - US Grand Prix: Nico Rosberg happy to start on 'clean side' of US GP grid

Race start will be decisive - Rosberg

Nico Rosberg says starting from pole position on the 'clean side' of the grid at the Circuit of the Americas could be "decisive".

Rosberg took pole in Texas by 0.376 seconds from his team-mate and championship leader Lewis Hamilton, with Williams's Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa third and fourth respectively.

The German's performance came despite a troubled time in final practice, in which he was more than 0.8 seconds slower than Hamilton.

The race is live on BBC Radio 5 live with highlights on BBC TV and this website.
