BBC Sport - Brazilian GP: Lotus predicting strong race after update

Lotus hoping for strong race in Brazil

Lotus trackside operations director Alan Permane predicts his team will have a much stronger performance at the Brazilian Grand Prix, after several key updates to their car.

Lotus have had, by their own admission, a "miserable" season after problems throughout the year with their new hybrid Renault engine and general car design. They finished fourth in the constructors world championship in 2013.

However after making several changes to their car at the US GP including a new floor, wings, and fuel, both Lotus drivers were able to score points, with Pastor Maldonado scoring his first points for the team.

Permane admits that it is good for them to be racing against the top teams again and is looking forward to more of the same this weekend.

The race is live on BBC Radio 5 live with highlights on BBC TV and the BBC Sport website.
