BBC Sport - Formula 1 drivers have their say on how to improve the show
How would drivers improve Formula 1?
- From the section Formula 1
Formula 1 drivers have been giving their views on what could be done to improve the spectacle.
The F1 strategy group met before the Monaco Grand Prix to discuss a range of possible rule changes, including in-race refuelling, more powerful engines and wider tyres in a bid to make cars faster and racing more exciting.
Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel are just some of the drivers who believe the cars need to be faster and more difficult to drive, while Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo believes drivers need to be returned to a "heroic status".
McLaren's Fernando Alonso, meanwhile, is keen on the idea of Michelin returning as a tyre supplier.
