BBC Sport - Japanese GP: Jenson Button tight-lipped on McLaren future

Button still tight-lipped on future

McLaren's Jenson Button remains tight-lipped about his future in Formula 1, but admits he enjoys the thought of one day fighting for wins and podiums again.

The 2009 world champion signed a new one-year contract with McLaren at the end of 2014 with an option for a second year in the car.

But as the end of a disappointing season draws nearer, there has been no word from either McLaren or Button as to whether this option of a second year will be taken up.

Meanwhile Button's team mate, Fernando Alonso, says he has not been involved in the Button talks and it is a decision for the team to make.
