Antrim hurlers to play Offaly in All-Ireland qualifiers

Antrim's Paul Morris in action

Antrim have been drawn against Offaly in the first round of the All-Ireland Hurling Championship qualifiers.

The Saffrons beat the Faithful county in a play-off in March to retain their place in Division 1B of the league set-up.

Boss Kevin Ryan will be happy to have avoided the bigger names like Tipperary, Kilkenny and Galway.

Tipperary will be at home to the losers of the Kilkenny v Galway Leinster semi-final replay.

Monday's draw featured the counties which lost in the quarter-finals or semi-finals of the Leinster and Munster hurling championships.

Antrim were well beaten - 5-19 to 0-21 - by Wexford in the Leinster quarter-finals.
