Sean Quigley inspired Fermanagh to a third successive Division Three win as he scored 1-5 in a four-point victory over Tipperary at Brewster Park.

Quigley completed an excellent move in the 23rd minute by scoring a goal from three yards out as the sides went in level at 1-4 to 0-7 at the interval.

Paul McCusker palmed the ball into the net in the 26th minute of the second half as the Ernemen deservedly won.

The success keeps Pete McGrath's side in contention to earn promotion.

Fermanagh had beaten Louth and Sligo in their opening two fixtures while Tipperary had lost to Armagh, but beaten Limerick.

Ryan McCluskey was a late withdrawal with a bug which affected several of the Fermanagh squad and early points from Stephen O'Brien and Conor Sweeney gave the visitors an early advantage.

Quigley registered Fermanagh's first score with a 21 metre free but Tipperary, with the aid of a strong breeze, restored their two-point lead.

O'Brien and Quigley traded points but Quigley's goal nudged his side a point in front 12 minutes before half-time.

McGrath's men played the better football in the last 15 minutes of an open first period and Quigley scored their final point of the first half, while Michael Quinlivan became the seventh different scorer for his side.

Ryan Jones grabbed a couple of points in a second half which they controlled for long periods.
