Tyrone had 'no plan B' says McGinley

Former Tyrone star Enda McGinley says the Red Hands weren't able to adapt in the All-Ireland quarter-final against Mayo when their counter-attacking game came unstuck.

"When their famous counter-attacking game was shot down, they didn't seem to have a plan B," said McGinley of the Red Hand County's 0-13 to 0-12 defeat.

McGinley added that he is not surprised that Mickey Harte is urging veteran skipper Sean Cavanagh not to retire from inter-county football after his late sending off in Saturday's game.

Earlier this season, Cavanagh strongly hinted that this season could be his final campaign for the county.

"You would worry for Tyrone if they likes of Sean (retire) because he is such a key man. We are still searching for top-end forwards."
