Get Inspired: The FA People's Cup calls Full Time
The FA People's Cup came to an end at a massive day-long event in Manchester yesterday.
Over 50 five-a-side teams of men, women, girls and boys all spent their bank holiday defending their places in the tournament for the last time.
Teams from 11 categories played off until a winner emerged from each to with the coveted prize of FA Cup Final tickets. The winning teams will not only be invited spectators to the event at Wembley, they will also be named FA People's Cup winners during half time at the match.
The Finals took place in North Manchester where they were joined by Nick Bright who will present a highlights programme of the finals to be aired on 6 June on the Red Button, 1930 -2030 & 0100-0200 and on iPlayer afterwards.
When players and spectators where not engrossed in the matches, they were treated to some special guests such as Blue Peter and Kickabout presenter, Radzi Chinyanganya; commentary from 5Live's very own Seth Bennett; and both the actual Women's and the Men's FA Cups.
Participants were even treated to the actual BBC Sport FA Cup set that will now make it's way down to Wembley ready for Saturday's action.
Stars from new CBeebies show Footy Pups came along as Rachel Yankey and Pickles gave footy skills workshops to the mini-spectators in the crowd.
Former FA Cup winning player with Everton, Joe Royle, stopped by to wish the finalists well while Robbie Savage and Gary Lineker also made guest appearances in the form of large cut outs to help players practice their form.
