European Tour commercial director James Finnigan sees a bright future for the Irish Open after a successful week for the tournament at Royal County Down.
Finnigan is optimistic that title sponsor, Dubai Duty Free, will remain on board, along with the Rory McIlroy Foundation.
He is hopeful that the event will return to Northern Ireland beyond its next scheduled visit, to Lough Erne in 2017, but explains that no venue has been finalised for the Republic of Ireland in 2016.
Finnigan does confirm however that the tournament will be held over the same weekend next year.
