BBC Sport - Open 2015: Paul Kinnear's journey from Tranmere to St Andrews

Kinnear & Young set for Open debuts

Former Tranmere Rovers trainee Paul Kinnear tells BBC North West Tonight about making his Open debut at St Andrews this year, just five years after switching his focus to golf.

Kinnear, 21, from Formby, was let go by Tranmere at the age of 16 and is one of just four amateurs to qualify for the 2015 Open.

He played a practice round with fellow debutant Mark Young, from Longridge in Lancashire, as well as world number seven Justin Rose this week.
