Spain's Rafa Cabrera-Bello is 15 under after his third successive 67, with England's Andy Sullivan (66) 14 under.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy is eight back after a 68, which featured six birdies on the back nine.

Netherlands' Joost Luiten is three off the lead at 13 under with England's Chris Wood on 11 under.

Willett managed six birdies and an eagle from 40 feet at the 13th, the same hole where his approach had bounced out of the water on Thursday to set up a fortunate birdie.

The world number 20, who finished runner-up to McIlroy in last season's Race to Dubai, said: "I played great golf today, played really well yesterday and kept the foot down and could have been a couple better today, but I'm delighted."

McIlroy, the Northern Irish world number two, said he would be a "long shot" to win on Sunday.

"I came back from seven shots behind at Wentworth [to win the PGA Championship] a couple of years ago so it's not out of the realms of possibility, but this is a great field," he told Sky Sports.
