Ireland's men's amateur golf team have secured a first-ever medal at the World Amateur Team Championships in Mexico.

Bronze medals was Ireland's reward for a a magnificent performance which yielded their best-ever finish.

Jack Hume, Stuart Grehan and Paul McBride combined to clinch a podium finish in Cancun.

Ireland tied for third place alongside Austria as Australia romped to a 19-stroke victory, with England taking the silver medals.
