The Belfast Giants completed a successful weekend by beating Hull Stingrays 3-1 in Sunday's game in Hull.

Darryl Lloyd put Belfast ahead in the first period but Kurtis Dulle levelled for Hull late in the second period.

However late goals from Benoit Doucet and Mark Garside earned Doug Christiansen's side the victory.

Belfast beat Nottingham 3-2 in Saturday's top-of-the-table clash and the Giants now lead the table by five points from Sheffield and the Panthers.

The Giants and Nottingham have both played the same amount of matches but Sheffield have three games in hand on Belfast.

In Saturday's win over Nottingham, Garside and Craig Peacock put the Giants 2-0 up by the end of the opening period at the National Ice Centre.

Guillaume Lepine pulled a goal back for Nottingham before debutant Aaron Clarke restored Belfast's two-goal lead by the end of the middle period.

Jordan Fox cut Belfast's lead at the start of the final period but the Giants held on to win.
