Nottingham Panthers duo Meyers & Champagne set to be sidelined
Nottingham Panthers have injury worries over captain Danny Meyers and forward Scott Champagne.
The duo took knocks in Friday's 6-2 victory over Edinburgh Capitals at the National Ice Centre.
Champagne, who has scored 37 points in 29 matches, damaged his eye after being caught by a stick and is expected to be out for around 10 days.
Meyers, who missed the first 11 games with a shoulder injury, suffered whiplash-type injuries to his neck.
The Panthers captain received a nasty-looking hit from Edinburgh's Jiri Hanzal and is now a doubt for Saturday's match with Coventry Blaze.
Jeff Heerema (2), Matt Francis, Robert Lachowicz, David-Alexandre Beauregard and Brandon Benedict scored in Nottingham's victory over Edinburgh on Friday.
