Elite League fixtures: Belfast Giants to start season in Scotland

Belfast Giants will open the new Elite League season with two games in Scotland against Dundee Stars and Edinburgh Capitals.

The games on 4 and 5 September will also count towards the Challenge Cup.

Belfast's first home game of the season will be against the League's newest team Manchester Storm on 12 September.

The season will see eight weekends of back-to-back home games for Belfast which will include two double-headers against Sheffield Steelers.

The final weekend of the regular season will be 19 and 20 March with the play-offs getting under way the following weekend.

The winners from the two-legged quarter-finals will reach the play-offs finals weekend in Nottingham on 2-3 April.

After clinching the Elite League title in 2013-14, Belfast did not win any silverware last season.
