Giants remain top of Challenge Cup group

Belfast Giants stay top of Challenge Cup Group A after Saturday's over-time defeat by Dundee Stars is followed by a shootout success against Braehead Clan on Sunday.

The Giants were edged out 4-3 by Dundee Stars after over-time in Saturday's feisty encounter at the SSE Arena as Brett Switzer hit the winner.

Two shootout saves by debutant netminder Jackson Whistle helped the Giants overcome Braehead Clan 3-2.

Whistle is the son of former Giants coach Dave Whistle.
