Galatasaray are keen to re-sign Manchester City defender Jason Denayer,report ESPN.

The 21-year-old Belgian spent last season on-loan at the Turkish club, winning the domestic cup.

He could be available for a fee of £12m, after falling down the pecking order at City following John Stone's £47.5m arrival.

Mangala 'wants to find new club'

Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala has told his agent to find him a new club, report L'Equipe.

The 25-year-old Frenchman has struggled since making a £42m move from Porto in 2014.

AC Milan and Valencia are interested and the centre-back is likely to leave on a season-long loan deal.

Nkoudou Spurs move delayed

Tottenham’s move for Marseille’s Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has been held up because chairman Daniel Levy is trying to get a reduction in the £11.2m fee.

A deal had been agreed for the 21-year-old winger which would see Clinton Njie go the other way on loan, report the Evening Standard.

Mourinho gets apology for jail comment

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has received an apology for the claim he should be jailed for his treatment of midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Slovenian world players' union member Dejan Sefanovic told the BBC that Mourinho was "bullying" the German, who has been told to find another club.

League Managers' Association chief executive Richard Bevan said the comments were "totally inappropriate".

The LMA added Stefanovic "has apologised to Mr Mourinho".

Liverpool are to sign former Barcelona defender Juanma following a successful trial, report the Liverpool Echo.

The 19-year-old left back spent 10 days with the Reds’ Under-23 side, and has impressed sufficiently to be offered a contract at Anfield.

A quick injury update from Burnley boss Sean Dyche as they make their return to the Premier League.

Dyche expects left-back Stephen Ward to be fit for the game against Swansea after suffering a hamstring injury at Euro 2016 with Republic of Ireland.

He added: “Jon Flanagan is getting fitter and sharper, while Ashley Barnes is doing really well but won't figure at the weekend."

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes admits he wants to sign the "outstanding" Saido Berahino from West Brom.

He said: "We have an interest in him because he is an outstanding young talent. 

"We felt that there was the possibility that he could be leaving the club and we have made bids. 

"It needs a lot of parties to come together and agree all aspects of the deal before that happens. We aren't in that position at the moment, but we will remain patient."

Mark Hughes has heaped praise on new signing Joe Allen after a string of impressive Euro 2016 performances with semi-finalists Wales.

"He played against us in the League Cup semi-final and the impact he had in both games was there for all to see," he said.

"That resonated with us, and his performance level at the Euros was really high too, and he deservedly made the team of the tournament.

"He has proved on the biggest stage that he can play at a very high level. He will grow and become a really strong player for us."

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has set his sights high for the 2016-17 Premier League season.

"We showed at times [last season] that we were on course to better ninth, so hopefully we can go a step better this time round," he said.

"If everything comes together and we have a run of games without key players being absent, just as Leicester benefited from last time out, then we could do well. That is certainly our ambition.

"Most players are fit and well now though, so we will see where that takes us."

Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin has decided on his new skipper after Ashley Williams departed the club for Everton.

"If Leon Britton plays he is (usually) the captain. After that, I don’t know, we will decide this." 

Guidolin also says record signing Borja Baston will not be involved for Swansea at Burnley on Saturday and will join the squad next week.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman says the Toffees need four new faces to step up a level.

"We are not at the level we need to be yet. We are working hard and we will improve. But the team will be strong on Saturday," he said.

"I don't comment on rumours. We have discussions with the board and with Steve Walsh, and we want three or four more players."

One in, two out? Not for Koeman. Everton's new boss was defiant over potential Goodison Park outgoings.

"Romelu Lukaku is still an Everton player and we want to keep our best players," he said.

"Phil Jagielka is the captain of the team. We don't have too many centre backs. We need four so there is no way he can leave the Club."

Ronald Koeman has addressed the media ahead of his first Premier League game as Everton manager.

Despite confirming Ashley Williams won't be ready to face Spurs on Saturday, the Dutchman is pleased with his new £12m centre-back.

"We had to get a new defender and Ashley brings experience, leadership and he knows the Premier League," he said.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri says Danny Drinkwater is close to signing a new deal, and the veteran Italian also gets involved in the Gary Lineker underpants saga.

Lineker said he would present Match of the Day in his underwear if his former team Leicester City won the Premier League .

Southampton defender Jose Fonte has been linked with a move to Manchester United, but boss Claude Puel says the Portugal international is going nowhere.

"It is important to keep Jose Fonte at Southampton. He is a very important player for the team, a good player and I don't see that it is possibility for him to leave us."

Southampton looked to have fallen upon a new striker.

Boss Claude Puel says: "We have worked in pre-season on different situations and Nathan Redmond is a very good player. 

"He played wide for Norwich but he is a very good striker. He can shoot, dribble and make different things. It is a good surprise for me, because he has real potential."

Tottenham Hotspur's head of recruitment Paul Mitchell announced his decision to leave the club earlier this week.

The 34-year-old had followed manager Mauricio Pochettino from Southampton to White Hart Lane in 2014.

The Argentine said: "I feel very disappointed with his decision. It’s his personal choice."

Two seems to be the magic number for Alan Pardew's transfer plans.

"We didn't have enough depth or quality in the group [last season]. That's why those three players have come in, and hopefully two more," the Palace manager said

Palace will be a "stronger" team with more focus on possession this season, according to manager Alan Pardew.

The Eagles boss said: "I've tried to be transparent because our fans deserve that. When they walk in that stadium they will see a stronger team this year.

"I want the side to retain the ball, to play a brand of football we couldn't really last year due to injuries and the squad's strength.

"We want more consistent displays and that will come with a stronger, deeper squad."

Alan Pardew has been speaking about Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie's rumoured move to Everton.

"We've got nothing concrete to announce today, other than a lot of rumours. There's nothing that's going to happen before the weekend," he said.

"Yannick is contracted here. He's a great player and a great person, I love him. We'll treat him with the utmost respect in any situation."

The 29-year-old defender injured ankle ligaments while playing at Euro 2016 for Belgium.
