'You'll Never Walk Alone' rings out into the Hong Kong night as the referee brings the game to an end. Liverpool will meet Leicester in Saturday's final.

Five minutes left. Jurgen Klopp will be satisfied with this performance. A first goal to remember for Dominic Solanke, while Frank de Boer will have learned a lot about his new side. Palace have given the Reds a decent test in Hong Kong.

Liverpool 2-0 Crystal Palace

The attendance in Hong Kong is 39,273. Judging by the way each goal has been greeted, I'm guessing 39,000 are Liverpool fans.

GOAL

Liverpool 2-0 Crystal Palace

Divock Origi doubles Liverpool's lead from close range in the 80th minute. James Milner does all the hard work before delivering the ball into the Palace area, Philippe Coutinho takes a wild swing and the ball falls into the path of Origi to tuck home.

Liverpool 1-0 Crystal Palace

Marko Grujic lets fly from 30-yards...just wide. That was very close to being very special.

There's about 15 minutes left in Hong Kong. As it stands, Liverpool will meet Leicester in Saturday's final of the Premier League Asia Trophy.

Yellow card

Liverpool 1-0 Crystal Palace

Terrible challenge by Marko Grujic. The Liverpool substitute hacks down Wilfried Zaha in full flight. That would have been a red card in a competitive match. Instead Grujic escapes with a yellow.

GOAL

Liverpool 1-0 Crystal Palace

Liverpool have the breakthrough thanks to a screamer by new signing Dominic Solanke.

What a moment for the 19-year-old. The former Chelsea player's first Liverpool goals is a clever finish from the edge of the box after a flick by Divock Origi.

'Biggest game of our lives'

Scotland fans
BBC Sport

Less than six hours until kick-off as Scotland face England in their first major tournament game at Euro 2017 and the Tartan Army are arriving in Utrecht in increasing numbers, dressed pretty in pink and wearing kilts.

England manager Mark Sampson caused some amusement in the press conference yesterday when it was suggested he'd given his team a Scottish history lesson, which included the film Braveheart.

When this was put to Scotland captain Gemma Fay, she replied: "We don't need a history lesson, we're born into the rivalry."

There will be little animosity, but Fay admits that for many of the Scottish players, it will be the biggest game of their careers.

More penalties?

Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Two games, two shootouts.

Meanwhile, it's still goalless after 54 minutes in Hong Kong.

More penalties?

Arsenal 1-1 Bayern Munich

Drink it in, Arsenal fans. The Gunners have beaten German champions Bayern Munich...on penalties. It won't ease the pain of those bruising Champions League defeats but it's a start.

Arsenal win on penalties

Arsenal 1-1 Bayern Munich

Arsenal win 3-2 on penalties as substitute keeper Emiliano Martinez saves from Juan Bernat.

Arsene Wenger is all smiles. No wonder. The Gunners trailed for so long in the game.

Arsenal 1-1 Bayern Munich

Or not...after a delay there's now a penalty shootout in Shanghai. Can Arsenal win this?

GOAL

Arsenal 1-1 Bayern Munich

.
Reuters

Late, late, late, late Arsenal equaliser in Shanghai.

Alex Iwobi, who is completely unmarked, gets on the end of Aaron Ramsey's cross to nod his side level after they had trailed for so long.

And that's the end. It's all over.

On this day... in 2015

Liverpool reached an agreement with Aston Villa over the payment terms for the £32.5million transfer of Christian Benteke.

A yellow card in a friendly as Palace's Scott Dann wrestles Mohamed Salah off the ball as the new Liverpool signing looked set to burst through on goal.

Benteke close

Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Corner to Palace. It's whipped in and up goes Christian Benteke and Simon Mignolet. The Liverpool keeper just about does enough to steer it off the head of the former Reds striker. That would have been 1-0 but for Mignolet.

Arsenal running out of time

Arsenal 0-1 Bayern Munich

There's about 10 minutes left in Shanghai. Arsenal are heading for defeat against German champions Bayern Munich unless they can find a late goal.

Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Simon Mignolet spreads his body to deny Keshi Anderson after a delicious pass by Andros Townsend. Liverpool respond immediately with an attack through Mohamed Salah but the former Chelsea man's pass is cut out and Palace escape.

There's around 15 minutes to half-time.

Everton's Pennington joins Leeds

Some transfer news from the Championship where Leeds have signed Everton defender Matthew Pennington on a season-long loan.

Pennington, 22, has made nine first-team appearances for Everton since coming through their academy.

The centre-back, who scored in the Merseyside derby in April, has previously spent time on loan in League One, playing for Tranmere Rovers, Coventry City and Walsall.

Arsenal changes

There's about half an hour left in Shanghai. Arsenal still trail Bayern Munich after Robert Lewandowski's early penalty. There's been a wave of changes, with Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette among those replaced.

Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Daniel Sturridge gets on the end of Trent Alexander-Arnold's cut back but Scott Dann gets in the way to prevent Liverpool from opening the scoring.

Goalless after 15 minutes.

Everton to sign Giroud?

.
Getty Images

Everton’s hopes of signing Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud have been boosted by Borussia Dortmund’s claim that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be sold this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The report adds that Giroud had hoped to replace Aubameyang at Dortmund after being pushed down the Arsenal pecking order by Alexandre Lacazette. But Dortmund’s declaration that Aubameyang, who was on the list of strikers Chelsea are considering to replace Diego Costa, will not be sold casts doubt over the prospect of the German club making a bid for Giroud.

Arsenal will demand around £20 million for Giroud and Everton believe they are second on the list of the Frenchman’s preferred destinations.

Hong Kong roar

Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

There's a huge roar each time a Liverpool player touches the ball. No serious chances yet but Jurgen Klopp's side have started sharply.

Allardyce 'would take international job'

.

Interesting news about Sam Allardyce.

The former England and Crystal Palace boss says he is open to the prospect of a return to international management.

Allardyce's five-month tenure at Palace ended in May, with the 62-year-old citing the demands of club coaching as a factor.

While the former Bolton, Blackburn and Newcastle manager has no appetite for another club job, he has not retired.

"If I have to consider anything, it would have to be an international position," he tells Talksport.

End to end

It's end to end in Shanghai. Mesut Ozil opens up the Bayern defence but Alexandre Lacazette's shot is turned behind before Petr Cech produces a fine reflex save to keep out Thomas Muller. Decent game.
