More on "illegal approaches" for Mbappe

Monaco said in a statement that "important European clubs" have made contact with Kylian Mbappe without permission.

The Ligue 1 club says it may ask world governing body Fifa and the French league to consider disciplinary action.

Mbappe scored 26 goals in 44 appearances for Monaco last season as they won Ligue 1 for the first time in 17 years and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Monaco claim clubs have breached regulations of both Fifa and the Ligue de Football Professionnel.

Fifa rules state: "A club intending to conclude a contract with a professional must inform the player's current club in writing before entering into negotiations with him."

Lacrosse World Cup semi-final: Canada v Australia

Women's Lacrosse World Cup: Five things you may not know

We are at the semi-final stage of the Women's Lacrosse World Cup and today we have coverage of Canada v Australia and USA v England.

You can watch live here.

If you have never watched or played lacrosse before, you are in for a treat.

It is a fast-paced, high-intensity game that has grown in popularity over the past 10 years in the UK and is now the fourth most popular sport in the university sector.

Although men's and women's lacrosse differ slightly - with one being full contact and the other being limited - the object of the game is the same: hit the back of the net!

While women's lacrosse is not full-contact like the men's game, it is still played at a ferocious pace.... and accidents do happen.

Monaco said in a statement that "important European clubs" have made contact with Mbappe without permission.

Apologies if "Mmmbop" is now in your head. It happens EVERY TIME to me too....

It's like 'The Game'.

More apologies.

Watch two biting incidents during Gold Cup quarter-final

United States head coach Bruce Arena said action should have been taken after two El Salvador players appeared to bite two of his side.

Striker Jozy Altidore seemed to be bitten by Henry Romero and defender Omar Gonzalez by Darwin Ceren in a similar incident during the Gold Cup quarter-final, which the US won 2-0.

"There should have been a player sent off tonight," Arena said.

"I didn't see the play live, I can't fault the referee."

Well, that's the theory of the Djibouti Football Federation...

(...And my secondary school's football team, who so frequently lost 11 or 12 - nil, they just sacked it off in the end.)

They have dissolved the national football team in a bid to 'stop poor results'.

The FDF announced in a statement that the squad and coaching staff have been disbanded as the focus shifts to promising youngsters.

The move comes after Djibouti lost 5-1 at home to Ethiopia in the first leg of their 2018 African Nations Championship qualifier on Saturday.

The FDF said there is no timeframe on the dissolution.

Let's have a chat.

You know when players or clubs endorse a product on social media, the products are often targeted towards their followers interests and needs.

You know the ones... When Ronaldo poses in a fancy kitchen with a smoothie maker and a "health shake" brand or when baby faced Philipe Coutinho does a men's skin care advert - fair enough right? You sort of forgive them because they make some sense and you never know, one day you may find the product useful.

I mean, they all need to earn a living and footballers wages are notoriously shabby.......

A specific social media endorsement has been brought to my attention and I have no idea what is going on... (FYI, we do not know if this particular former player has been compensated in some way for this so wouldn't like to cast aspersions... but it IS random).

City want Danilo?

The Guardian say Manchester City are set to sign Real Madrid's 26-year-old Brazilian full-back Danilo for an initial £26.5m.

Here he is chest bumping Cristiano Ronaldo - I am pretty surprised Ronaldo he let him do that. What if it left a bruise? Think of the topless Instagram pictures....

This is a possible transfer that just won't go away. Liverpool's pursuit of Naby Keita...

Will they, won't they.

Well, the Mirror say Jurgen Klopp's team are ready to bid £70m for the RB Leipzig midfielder Keita, having had a £66m offer rejected for the 22-year-old Guinea international.

Is a fit Jack Wilshere worth £20m?

The Daily Star say Arsenal have told the Hammers they will have to pay £20m if they want to sign midfielder Jack Wilshere.

The 25-year-old who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, is currently recovering from a broken leg.

Sampdoria reportedly offered just £6m plus £1.5m in add-ons but Arsenal apparently value him much higher than that.
