The next round of County Championship fixtures comes on Friday, when Hampshire play Warwickshire, Middlesex take on Somerset and Yorkshire face Lancashire in a Roses Derby in a tasty list of Division One fixtures.

In Division Two, Durham play Northants at home, leaders Nottinghamshire face winless Derbyshire and Sussex look to bounce back against Worcestershire, who are looking for a fifth-straight win.

That, I'm sure you'll agree, is worth tuning in for.

The final 'Biscuit XI'

Important news. After many suggestions and some controversy regarding Jaffa Cakes, here's the final version of the Biscuit XI.

It looks a strong side, capable of taking on any other silly pun-based adversary.

Alastair Cookie (c), Simon Kit Katich, Parthiv-ring Patel, Biscotti Borthwick, Arthur Shrewsbury Fruit, Garry-Baldi Sobers, Phil Custard Cream (wk), Sir Rich Tea Hadlee, Muttiah Maltedmilktharan, Robin HobNobs, Steven Wafer Finn.

12th man: Wasim Jaffa Cake.

Thanks for your contributions.

Division Two table

Division Two table
BBC Sport

In Division Two, Kent's win over Sussex saw them keep pace with leaders Nottinghamshire, who completed a comprehensive win over Gloucestershire yesterday.

Glamorgan were big winners, jumping up to fifth place with a dramatic three-wicket win over Durham, secured with three balls to spare after Paul Collingwood's declaration.

Durham remain bottom, 48 points behind ninth-placed Derbyshire, and without a win following their demotion and points deduction for financial irregularities.

Division One table

Division One table

Here's how Division One looks following the top-of-the-table clash between Essex and Surrey.

Both sides claimed 11 points from the draw at Chelmsford, keeping them in first and second place respectively, separated by a single point. Both remain unbeaten, but have won just three games between them.

What a day in the County Championship

Chelmsford
Rex Features

On a day where poor light and showers threatened we got three good games.

Glamorgan brought a wonderful day of County Championship action to a close with their narrow win over Durham.

Earlier on today Kumar Sangakkara fell short of a sixth successive century as Surrey drew with Essex at Chelmsford.

At Tunbridge Wells Kent wrapped up a fourth win of the season by beating Sussex.

A first win of the season for Glamorgan

Glamorgan beat Durham by three wickets

What a way to claim your first County Championship win of the season! They needed 37 runs from the final four overs, but got home with three balls to spare.

Nicholas Selman is the hero for his unbeaten 116, but there were important contributions from Colin Ingram (42), Chris Cooke (31) and Aneurin Donald (28).

Glamorgan move up to fifth place, but Durham remain rooted to the bottom of Division Two on -24 points, following their relegation and points deduction for financial irregularities.

BreakingGlamorgan beat Durham by three wickets

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 266-7 (50.3 overs)

Take a bow Nicholas Selman. The Glamorgan opener clips a two off Paul Coughlin to win it and finishes unbeaten on 116 from 129 balls. What an innings.

Paul Collingwood's declaration back-fires, but fair play to the Durham skipper for making a game of it in the Swansea gloom.

Two runs to win for Glamorgan

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 264-7 (50.2 overs)

Two runs needed for Nicholas Selman from the final four balls. What does Paul Collingwood do with his field?

Six off the first two balls from Selman

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 264-7 (50.2 overs)

Wow. Nicholas Selman smashes the first two balls for six. Blimey.

Glamorgan need 14 from the final over

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 252-7 (50 overs)

Marchant de Lange and Nicholas Selman at the crease. Can they get the 14 runs needed from Paul Coughlin's over?

Century for Selman

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 249-7 (49.3 overs)

Nicholas Selman celebrates his hundred after a four and a two from George Harding.

Can he close the game out?

Glamorgan need 24 runs from 12 balls to win

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 242-7 (49 overs)

Glamorgan need 24 runs from the final two overs.

Big fast bowler Marchant de Lange is the new man alongside Nicholas Selman (94 not out).

I've given up trying to second-guess this game, let's just see what happens.

WICKET Bragg (c Poynter b Coughlin) 1

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 241-7 (48.2 overs)

Another twist. Will Bragg nicks behind to Stuart Poynter off Paul Coughlin.

Still 25 runs needed. Do Glamorgan shut up shop, or continue the chase?

A first professional six for Selman

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 240-6 (48 overs)

Nicholas Selman is approaching his hundred on 93 not out, but that will be at the back of him mind.

He's in full-on one-day cricket mode as he smashes George Harding for a big six - his first in professional cricket.

Glamorgan need 26 runs from the final three overs.

Glamorgan need 37 runs from 4 overs

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 229-6 (47 overs)

That's the equation. Can they hold their nerve and smash some boundaries?

Nicholas Selman is 84 not out. It may be down to him.

WICKET Cooke (c Clark b Coughlin) 31

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 228-6 (46.4 overs)

There's a blow for Glamorgan.

Chris Cooke has smashed 31 from 20 balls, but he departs after picking out Graham Clark on the boundary from Paul Coughlin's bowling.

Glamorgan need 44 runs from 5 overs

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 222-5 (46 overs)

Glamorgan win or a draw? The pressure is well on Durham skipper Paul Collingwood. Was his declaration too generous?

Another six from Cooke

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 221-5 (45.5 overs)

Chris Cooke is playing a wonderful hand here. He's launched his third six of a short innings over the rope, this time off George Harding.

He's 29 not out after just 16 balls and he's lost another ball.

Glamorgan need 54 runs from 6 overs

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 212-5 (45 overs)

It's going to be a tight finish at Swansea.

Nicholas Selman has 75 and Chris Cooke is on 22 after smashing a gigantic six off Ryan Pringle.

Reminder that you can listen to the commentary at the top of this page.

Who is your money on?

Tobe: Definitely more in the favour of the batting side considering the venue, don't underestimate the fire power of Chris Cooke!

Aidan Watson: Then again Chris Cooke his second ball for four and has just smashed a six into a hedge...

Cooke gets hold of one

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 197-5 (43.2 overs)

Chris Cooke has only just come in, but he's not wasting any time, smashing young left-arm spinner George Harding over the ropes.

A wonderful set of mockers from Ben there. An apology is in the post Kumar, I'm sure.

Who is your money on?

Aidan Watson: Draw still favourite, but hoping @GlamCricket can get it close. Ingram getting out is a real blow.

Wise words from Aidan. A few tight overs from Durham will likely mean Glamorgan bat for the draw. We'll wait and see.

WICKET Ingram (c Poynter b Harding) 42

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 181-5 (41.3 overs)

Oh dear. That's an important wicket for Durham.

George Harding has his fourth wicket of the innings as Colin Ingram is caught behind the wicket. The South African was Glamorgan's best chance of victory. In comes Chris Cooke.

Ingram holds the key for Glamorgan

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 176-4 (41 overs)

Colin Ingram is a player capable of powering Glamorgan to a win, and he's got going now.

The South African is in excellent form this season and has just smashed 16 from a Ryan Pringle over to move to 42 from 30 balls.

It's a simple equation now: 90 needed off 10 overs.

Get Involved #bbccricket

Who is your money on?

All three results are possible here. Glamorgan are chasing a further 106 runs in 11 overs. Durham need six wickets. If neither happen then we'll have a draw.

Attention turns to Swansea

Durham 342 & 276-7d v Glamorgan 353 & 148-4 (38 overs)

So, with the Sangakkara show over, we turn our attention to south Wales, where Glamorgan need another 118 runs to win from 13 overs. That's a rate of nine runs an over.

Nicholas Selman has 51 not out, while Colin Ingram has 25.

Not bad for a 39-year-old

Surrey 369 & 260-9d v Essex 383

Head up Kumar, you still average 109.5 this season in the County Championship...

Essex and Surrey draw at Chelmsford

Surrey 369 & 260-9d (76 overs) v Essex 383

Kumar Sangakkara
Rex Features

So it wasn't to be for Kumar Sangakkara, who fell 16 runs short of equaling Mike Procter, CB Fry and Donald Bradman's record of six consecutive first-class centuries.

But in the context of the game his innings was still important. Jamie Porter took 5-71 in the second innings to make it nine wickets in the match and give Essex a real chance at 177-7.

However, Sangakkara and Stuart Meaker (24) saw Surrey safe before bad light interrupted briefly.

Both teams take 11 points in Division One. Essex remain unbeaten and top of the table after five games, while Surrey are second, just a point behind.

BreakingEssex draw with Surrey

Surrey 369 & 260-9 (76 overs) v Essex 383

There it is. Essex skipper Ryan ten Doeschate offers his hand to Amar Virdi and Ravi Rampaul and we have a draw at Chelmsford.

Both teams take 11 points from a decent game, which if weather hadn't interrupted, may have brought a tight finish.

WICKET: Lloyd (b Harding) 3

Glamorgan 353 & 108-4 (30.6 overs) v Durham 342 & 276-7d

Another one falls at Swansea, and Durham move to within six wickets of a dramatic victory...

There are 19 overs left.

After the Lord Mayor's show

Surrey 369 & 260-9 (76 overs) v Essex 383

Amar Virdi and Ravi Rampaul at the crease, but with Kumar Sangakkara back in the changing room it lacks meaning.

Virdi has just whacked two fours off Simon Harmer, but a handshake is coming.

WICKET Sangakkara (c&b Westley) 84

Surrey 369 & 252-9 (74.2 overs) v Essex 383

Oh no. That wasn't in the script.

Kumar Sangakkara chips back to Tom Westley, who takes an almost apologetic one-handed catch. There is no sixth-straight first-class century for Sangakkara.

But a run of scores which reads 71, 46, 136, 105, 114, 120, 200 and 84 is certainly one to be pleased with.

WICKET: Donald (c Cook b Harding) 28

Glamorgan 353 & 104-3 (28.1 overs) v Durham 342 & 276-7d

But Aneurin Donald's quick-fire stint ends as he is caught of George Harding.

Durham are now seven wickets from victory.

Slow progress for Sangakkara

Surrey 369 & 252-8 (74 overs) v Essex 383

This is a strange situation.

Essex have Simon Harmer and part-time spinner Tom Westley on, but the field back, allowing Kumar Sangakkara the single.

He takes one off a Harmer over to move onto 84 not out. Amar Virdi, on debut, is at the other end.

Rate quickening in Wales

Glamorgan 353 & 104-2 (28.0 overs) v Durham 342 & 276-7d

The run rate has certainly picked up now at Swansea.

Durham have brought in an attacking field, as they use two spinners amid darkening light, while Glamorgan promoted Aneurin Donald up their order in a bid for runs.

And Donald has delivered so far, with six boundaries from 16 balls.

They've been closer to 10 an over over the past 10 minutes.

The hosts still need a further 162 to win, from 23 overs, while Durham need eight wickets.

WICKET Meaker (b Harmer) 24

Surrey 369 & 248-8 (71.5 overs) v Essex 383

What chance that Kumar Sangakkara runs out of partners now?

Stuart Meaker has performed the most important role, warding off a potential Essex win, but he's yorked himself off the bowling of Simon Harmer to bring in Ravi Rampaul and give Sangakkara the jitters.
