Notts win by 12 runs (DLS)

Unfortunately the rain is unrelenting at Trent Bridge and they've had to call it a day.

Notts have won by 12 runs on DLS, to make it two wins from their first four games.

Don't forget you can join us tomorrow from 10:30 BST for the Women's World Cup final between England v India and from 14:30 BST we'll have local radio commentary from seven T20 Blast group games.

See you then!

Bad news...

Things were starting to look brighter, the covers covering the bowlers run ups were starting to come off.

I'm sure you can guess the rest.

The rain started again...

The groundsman are now covering the run ups and the square completely. We could be off for quite a while.

The current scene...

It's looking pretty bleak at Trent Bridge.

Although the groundsman haven't put the covers on the side of the pitch, which is normally a good sign.

Rain stops play

We're going off!

It's been raining for the last over or two and umpires Neil Bainton and Jeremy Lloyds have seen enough for now and on the hovercraft comes.

Notts are leading on D/L at the moment.

Hales dropped on 21

How much are Northants and Rob Newton going to regret this?

First ball of Rory Kleinveldt's second over and Hales cuts a wide one and it goes through the hands of Newton at backward point and away to the offside boundary.

Next ball, as is often the case, Hales finds the boundary again.

"I'm not quite sure how he's done that!"

Notts have looked comfortable, if unspectacular so far.

Until now. Wow! What a shot that is Alex Hales.

He literally just stands there motionless and hits Rory Kleinveldt back over his head for a maximum. Great shot from the England opener.

He follows it up with a lovely punch through the covers for four. 16 off 7 now Hales.

End of innings

Notts need 196 to win

Is that going to be enough?

Remember Notts scored 227 last night...

WICKET

Crook c Patel b Gurney 13 (Northants 189-8)

Another one goes.

Crook tries to flay Gurney over the offside but can only pick out Patel at backward point.

Crook helps it on its way...

Just before the wicket...

Gurney dropped too short and Crook helped it on its way down to the fine leg boundary for six.

10th of the innings for the visitors.

WICKET

Newton c Moores b Gurney 8 (Northants 185-7)

Northants are desperate to add those final few runs and Newton can only succeed in top edging Gurney straight up in the air and Moore steadies himself and takes a simple catch.

It's started raining too...

WICKET

Wakeley c Wood b Gurney 19 (Northants 170-6)

Are Northants going to get enough here? There's an incredibly short boundary (I'm talking about 50 yards) to one side of the wicket.

Gurney's been brought back into the attack and strikes first ball.

Wakeley tries to pull him to the leg-side boundary but only succeeds in picking out Luke Wood.

100th T20 wicket for Harry Gurney according to Radio Nottingham.

WICKET

Keogh c Moores b Sodhi 8 (Northants 159-5)

Notts are bringing this back well.

Keogh just couldn't get going and scratched around for an 11-ball 8 before getting a thin edge through to wicket-keeper Tom Moores (son of Notts' coach Peter) off Sodhi.

WICKET

Levi c Hales b Sodhi 88 (Northants 146-4)

Notts have their man. Finally.

But what a knock it's been from Levi. He tries one big shot too many and sweeps Sodhi to Hales, who has to run in slightly off the square leg boundary, but takes a comfortable catch.

88 off 43 for the 29-year-old.

not-outNot out

Luke Wood will be cursing.

Levi's just bludgeoned him for six over mid-wicket, but the left-arm over gets instant revenge as Levi picks out long-on. But it's a no ball and a free hit!

The free hit gets drilled down the ground by Alex Wakely for two.

WICKET

Kleinveldt c Patel b Wood 0 (Northants 107-3)

Gone first ball!

He's flashed at a wide one and he's picked out Samit Patel at backward point.

Wood's on a hat-trick.

WICKET

Duckett b Wood 28 (Northants 107-2)

Big wicket! Northants were really starting to fly.

Duckett's tried driving at one, but he only manages to drag it back onto middle-stump which goes cartwheeling.

Useful 28 off 16 balls though for the left-hander.

50 for Levi

Northants 104-1 (9 overs)

Fifty for Levi.

He's looked brilliant.

He's brought it up off 26 balls. Five sixes for 29-year-old South African in his half-century. He's hit two in a row on two different occasions now.

6, 6, 4 to end the ninth over.

WICKET

Rossington LBW Sodhi 17 (Northants 47-1)

Sodhi was one of Notts' better bowlers last night and he's made the crucial breakthrough today.

Rossington tries to sweep him but he's caught infront and it's pretty plumb.

"That's gone miles back"

Boy has he hit that.

Richard Levi has looked in very good nick so far. Here he is hitting a second six in two balls off Jake Ball.

Ball co-incidentally went for 52 off his four overs last night. 18 runs off his first today...

The toss and teams

Nottinghamshire won the toss and chose to field first

So Dan Christian has won the toss and has opted to bowl first.

Notts are unchanged from last night's game. Northants have made one change with Rob Newton coming into replace Josh Cobb.

Form so far...

Notts have struggled slightly so far in this year's competition. They've only picked up one win from their three games.

However, that win came last night, where they scored their highest ever T20 total in amassing 227-3, largely down to Riki Wessels' 54-ball 110. Derbyshire took it to the final over but Jake Ball managed to secure a five run win for the Outlaws.

Northants, on the other hand, are second in the table after picking up three wins from their first five games.

They edged past Leicestershire by two runs in a rain affected game down at Grace Road last night.
