A comfortable win for the hosts in the end, but their bowlers got them out of trouble after a sloppy 152 batting first.
Rashid ensured Durham were unable to get a hold of their innings with a brilliant 4-19.
Yorkshire stay at the top of the table, with a little breathing space to those below.
More action from us tomorrow with in-play highlights of Kent v Somerset, plus as always radio commentary from every T20 fixture.
No way back for Durham, why not have a heave. Did not come off for Pringle though as he holes out to Kohler-Cadmore off Patterson.
And that's his fourth wicket. Rashid taking care of the Durham batting line up and Burnham walks for seven runs.
Serious danger now!
Comfortable take for Lyth as Rashid gets his third wicket of the evening. Durham in danger of petering out here.
Now that is a peach!
Bouncing outside leg, Rashid manages to spin the ball to hit the stumps at the top of off. Richardson is flummoxed, and rightly so. That was delicious.
Beautifully taken at square leg by Fisher, running and diving forward to take the ball low.
Rashid is the bowler and Collingwood trudges back to the shed.
There hasn't been loads of action yet this innings, but a lovely cut by Richardson to the boundary off fisher deserves to be highlighted. Take a watch.
Two in two for Yorkshire, as Steel edges one to Marsh of Bresnan.
Oh and that's consecutive maiden overs for the Yorkshire veteran.
Clark is the first man gone, just six runs off ten balls for the opener.
Some awful fielding from Fisher, a straightforward stop on the boundary turns in to four runs.
Some good bowling from Durham has restricted the usually big scoring Yorkshire to 152-8.
Can they chase it down?
Another wicket for Durham, whose bowling has been excellent throughout, as Rafiq tries the ramp but can only find Poynter.
Bresnan with a decent knock, 22 off 16, but an uninspired end, managing to get a little bit of bat and paddling one to Steel.
Tim Bresnan fires one over mid wicket and in to the stands off Coughlin.
Shaun Marsh is bowled for 36 runs off 31 balls, Yorkshire in trouble.
Rashid, unable to get his wrists around his pull shot, fires one to Coughlin who smartly runs and dives to make the catch.
Ooops, Handscomb completely mistimes a slower one from Collingwood, who beats the bat and Poynter, standing up at the stumps, simply has to take the bails off.
Off he walks for for seven off ten balls.
A great innings from Willey comes to an end as he skies one off Pringle and Poynter gets himself underneath it.
A vital contribution though, with 44 runs off 27 balls kick starting Yorkshire's innings after those two early wickets.
David Willey, showing his batting prowess, clobbers the medium pace of Paul Collingwood in to the stands.
And what's this, a beautiful crowd catch to boot.
Two in two overs for Durham and both the openers are now back in the shed.
Kohler-Cadmore did not manage to get behind his shot and he is caught at cover by captain Paul Coughlin.
Early breakthrough for Durham.
Adam Lyth hits a good ball in to the sky and Richardson's open hands after some tight bowling from Rushworth.
Tim Bresnan wins the toss, says he will have a bat and the both captains trot off to let their mates know what to prepare for.
Both sides are at opposite ends of the table, with Yorkshire in fine form having only lost one match this tournament. They have eight points and a superior run rate to all the other teams around them.
Durham on the other hand are propping up the table and have yet to record a single win from their first five matches.
Their tally of minus-four points leaves them some way off climbing off the bottom spot.
